Privacy

TorontoBars doesn't have user accounts, so we don't track you. No logins, no profiles, no analytics, no cookies that follow you around the web. The site is built so the only thing it knows about you is what you decide to type in.

What we store about your IP

We do log your IP address in three narrow places, all server-side:

1. Rate limiting.So one person can't flood the moderation queue. These rows are deleted within about an hour.
2. Vote dedup. So an up/down vote on a review counts once per IP. Stored for the life of the review.
3. Report dedup.So flagging a review doesn't pile up duplicates from the same IP. Stored for the life of the review.

We never display IPs, never link them to other identifiers, and never share them with anyone.

Spam protection

Review and suggestion forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to keep bots out. Cloudflare may collect technical browser data per their own privacy policy when their challenge runs — that part isn't something we control.
